Care Instructions for Floorcloths
Each canvas is hand crafted  with special attention to
detail. I only ask that you  follow these care instructions to
insure a lifetime of enjoyment with your floorcloth.
Unwrapping
Before installing your floorcloth remove the outer packaging
and put it in a warm place for a few hours before unrolling
it.  Cold temperatures make the canvas stiff. As it warms up
it will become flexible again. It should be allowed to flatten
out naturally to prevent any cracking. Sometimes I help
them out by using a hair dryer.
Placement
Floorcloths are intended to be used on hard floors such as
vinyl, wood, concrete and most tiles. I don't recommend
using them on carpet as the finish of the floorcloth will crack
under the weight of foot traffic or furniture placement.
Vacuum and mop the area where you will place your
floorcloth removing any grit or debris. Anything causing
surface irregularities will cause cracking over time.
Any furniture placed on a floorcloth should have felt
protectors attached to the bottom of the feet to prevent
scratching.
Wallcloths arrive ready to hang with tabs, rod pockets or
grommets as specified. Murals intended to be installed
directly to the wall can be pasted with heavy vinyl wallpaper
paste. Follow the directions for hanging heavy wall
covering and fabrics. Do-it-yourselfers and professional
wallpaper hangers can do this in a jiff.
Cleaning
Floorcloths should be cleaned regularly. Remove dirt and
dust by sweeping or vacuuming. Get underneath edges of
floorcloths. Use mild soapy water and mop or wipe with a
sponge.  Avoid harsh cleansers and chemicals.
Personally I only mop my wood floors and floorcloths with white
vinegar and water.
Ocassionally,  maybe once every 4 to 6 weeks I will add a
smidge of
Murphy's oil soap to the mixture.
If using soap rinse with clean water and towel dry.  All pieces
are waxed before
leaving the studio and may be periodically waxed to
maintain a nice sheen and flexibility. Use a clear bowling  alley
type wax.
Moving and Storage
Never fold floorcloths! Always roll them back onto your
cardboard shipping tube for storage or
moving. It is always best to store floorcloths flat but if it isn't
possible leave it on the tube and secured with painters
tape. I suggest wrapping it in paper for protection from dust
and scratches.   Always store placemats and coasters flat.
Shipping Damage
Every item is carefully packed and thoroughly inspected
before leaving the studio. The carrier, upon acceptance of
the shipment, assumes responsibility for it's safe
delivery. Carefully examine the package. Do not accept or
sign if it appears to be damaged.  Should the damage be
concealed please email me within 24 hours to start the
claim process.
